Magic Link contains or may be distributed with third-party software. Each component remains governed by its own license.

AmtPtpDevice USB components

USB PTP components derived from AmtPtpDeviceUsbUm and/or AmtPtpDeviceUsbKm are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2. When a Magic Link release contains these components, that release must also provide the complete GPLv2 license text and the corresponding source code or a valid written source offer, as required by GPLv2.

The original project also identifies its SPI PTP component, AmtPtpDeviceSpiKm, as MIT-licensed. Inclusion of this notice does not mean the SPI component is included in every Magic Link release.

Microsoft driver tools and samples

Some development or distribution packages may use Microsoft Windows Driver Kit tools or code derived from Microsoft Windows driver samples. Those materials are subject to the applicable Microsoft license terms. Microsoft components are not relicensed by this repository.

Magic Link application

Unless a file or release states otherwise, the Magic Link application and its original assets are proprietary. This distribution and support repository does not grant permission to copy, modify, or redistribute them.

Apple, Magic Trackpad, Magic Mouse, and Magic Keyboard are trademarks of Apple Inc. Microsoft and Windows are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. Magic Link is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or Microsoft.

Before publishing any installer, verify the exact component list for that release and include every required license and source-code offer with the release assets.
